September 11, 2010GET YOUR FLAG READY!
,GET YOUR FLAG READY!
Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign
THE PROGRAM:
On Saturday, September 11th, 2010, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States . Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this ninth anniversary of one our country's worst tragedies. We do this honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.
Action Plan:
So, here's what we need you to do ...
Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.
Thank you for your participation.God Bless You and God Bless America !!!

09/07/10 Reader Submitted Comment on the Greenwich Roundup post "08/28/10 Greenwich Newsmaker: Jim Himes"
Chris has left a new comment on the Greenwich Roundup post "08/28/10 Greenwich Newsmaker: Jim Himes":
Be Heard
Across the country and in Fairfield County, most Americans opposed the healthcare bill. But Jim Himes didn't hear us and voted yes.
The stimulus? Most of us didn't want it. Himes didn't listen. He voted yes.
Cap and trade? In Connecticut, most voters said no. In Washington, Jim Himes voted yes.
End the secret ballot in union elections? Again, his constituents said no. Jim Himes voted yes.
Raising taxes? Most voters say no. Himes yes.
If Jim Himes does not listen to you, then you should know that you are not alone. By a wide margin, voters across the country and in Fairfield County oppose the Nancy Pelosi and Jim Himes' position on the issues. If you want to send Jim Himes a message that he can hear, you can support his opponent, Dan Debicella, here: https://debicella.blue-swarm.com/donate.
Jim Himes can't hear us. On November 2nd, let's turn up the volume.

09/07/10 Dan Debicella Says, "I am Working for Women"
E-Updates from the Dan Debicella for Congress Campaign | September 7th, 2010 | |||||
New TV Ad -- "Working for Women"Friends, Today we started our new TV commercial called "Working for Women". You can see the ad here. The commercial highlights my economic plan and how it will help our families. My payroll tax cut will help every middle class family and small business (and be deficit-neutral by repealing unspent stimulus funds). Extending the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts will prevent a job-killing tax increase. And creating a federal spending cap will pull back the debt that Washington is leaving to our children. The commercial also emphasizes my position on women's issues, including my co-sponsorship of bills in the State Senate to increase minimum sentences for sexual assault and Connecticut's "equal pay for equal work law". As voters get to know me, they will know how my common-sense solutions can help our families. But in order for them to see this, we need to continue our fundraising. Each time an ad shows on cable, it costs $50. Would you consider helping us pay for these by donating $100, $500, or even $2,400 today? Thank you for your continuing support! --Dan |
