Four U.S. veterans have been named the Parade Grand Marshals of the 2014 Connecticut Veterans Parade, which steps off at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, near the Connecticut State Capitol Building in Hartford. The 2014 parade grand marshal is Vice Admiral Melvin G. Williams, Jr. The three Honorary grand marshals are Lieutenant Colonel Lesbia Nieves of Manchester, Sergeant 1st Class Alex W. Seretny of Windham and Mark R. Shenkman of Greenwich.
